It’s new year’s eve in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and artists have assembled stunning sculptures made of wood, paper and fabric, only to burn them at midnight in a spectacular display that symbolizes the passing year. These sculptures, called años viejos, depict customary figures from ancient history as well as famous modern icons. Feliz año nuevo!
